‘Virat’s sepoys’ defeated Pakistan for the seventh time

India beat Pakistan by 89 runs in the ICC World Cup 2019. The decision was made on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule. This is also the biggest victory of India over Pakistan in the World Cup. This is the seventh consecutive victory against Pakistan in India’s World Cup.  It is India’s Record win over Pakistan, seventh times victory since 1992.

In 1992, the two teams met each other for the first time battle and since then the Pakistani team has not won any match against India. India scored a mammoth 336 runs in the first innings at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester.

Pakistan’s Answer Against India’s Bowlers

In reply, the Pakistani team could have scored 212 runs in 6 overs in 40 overs between the rain disruption. After the third rain, Pakistan had the goal of making 302 runs in 40 overs.

Rain disrupted the match three times. First-time rain came in the 47th over during the Indian inning, followed by a brief hurdle just before the second Pakistani inning began. Pakistan got a revised target after the third rain.

Until the game was stopped for the third time, Pakistan scored 166 runs for six wickets in 35 overs. This win has brought the Indian team to third place in the final table. India has been seven points from four matches, while Pakistan has only three points from five matches and it has slipped to ninth place.

Fakhar Zaman scored the highest scorer (62) for Pakistan. He hit 7 fours and 1 sixes in his 75-ball inning. Pakistan’s start was poor and their first wicket fell quickly as Imam-ul-Haq (7). After that, Fakhar Zaman teamed up with Babar Azam (48) for 104 runs for the second wicket.

After the break in the 24th over of this partnership, the Pakistani team faltered and could not recover. Sarfaraz Ahmed (12), Shoaib Malik (0) and Mohammad Hafeez scored only nine runs. However, Imad Wasim (46 not out) and Shadab Khan (unbeaten 20) did a little fight in the end. Both of them shared an unbroken partnership of 47 runs for the seventh wicket. For India Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.

Earlier, India lost five wickets in the 50 overs in which they scored a score of 336 runs. Rohit Sharma (140) made the most runs for India. He hit 14 boundaries and three sixes in his 113-ball knock. Apart from Rohit, Virat Kohli (77), Lokesh Rahul (57), Hardik Pandya (26) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni contributed 1 run. Vijay Shankar 15 and Kedar Jadhav remained unbeaten on 9 runs. Mohammad Amir from Pakistan side got three wickets while Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz picked up one wicket each. Overall It is India’s Record win over Pakistan, seventh times victory since 1992.

India’s Strong Debut

After losing the toss, batting first, the Indian team made a strong start. Lokesh Rahul and Rohit Sharma, who started the innings, started the partnership with 136 runs for the first wicket. Both batsmen left no shortage to beat Pakistani bowlers.

South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 9 wickets, won First Match in ICC 2019

South Africa all-out Afghanistan on 125 runs in 34.1 overs in the ICC World Cup-2019 match at Cardiff’s Sofia Gardens Stadium on Saturday. Chasing a victory target of 125 runs set by the Srilanka, South Africa scored 131 in just 28.4 overs. South Africa’s only wicket fell as Quinton de Kock, who scored 68 runs before the outing. South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 9 wickets, won the First Match in ICC 2019.

Hashim Amla 41 and Andile Phehlukwayo remained unbeaten on 17. This is South Africa’s first win in five matches played so far in this World Cup. In the first three competitions, he had to face defeat against England, Bangladesh, and India respectively. While his match against the West Indies had vanished due to rain.

After losing the toss, Afghanistan started well after getting the invitation for batting, but rain caused a disruption in the match and when the match started again, then Afghani batsmen could not stand on the pitch. Afghanistan had lost two wickets in 20 overs and scored 69 runs then the rain came here.

After a while, the rain stopped and the match was started. However, the match was reduced to 48 overs per innings. Afghanistan started a slow but start well. His first wicket fell as Hazratullah Zazai on the second ball of the ninth over. Zazai scored 22 runs. Chris Morris sent Rahmat Shah (6) to a pavilion total of 56.

The rain came in the 20th over and then when the match began again, Andile Phehlukwayo sent Hashmatullah Shahidi (8) to the pavilion in the 21st over. On the first ball of the next over, Imran Tahir sent another opener Noor Ali Zadran to the pavilion. Zadran faced 58 balls and scored 32 runs with four fours. From here, the wickets started falling and Afghanistan’s score was 77 on the loss of 7 wickets.

Rashid Khan used his batting ability and scored 35 runs with 25 fours and six sixes. They combined with Ikram Ali Khil (9) to add some 34 runs for the eighth wicket.

Ikram Ali khil became the victim of Morris on the total score of 111. Tahir also sent Rashid Khan to the pavilion on the score of 125 runs in the fifth ball of the 34th over. Chris Morris sent Hamid Hassan to the pavilion without opening the account. For South Africa, Imran Tahir four, Chris Morris three, Andile Phehlukwayo two, Kagiso Rabada took one wicket.

Australia defeated Sri Lanka by 87 runs in the ICC World Cup 2019 on Saturday. Australia gave a huge target of 334 runs to Sri Lanka in the match played on The Kennington Oval ground. In reply, the Sri Lankan team made 247 runs in 45.5 overs. Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne (97) scored the highest runs for Sri Lanka. He struck out nine fours in his 108-ball innings. Besides them, Kusal Perera (52) and Kusal Mendis (30) were the only batsmen to perform well. Sri Lankan ‘Lion’ Bowling Failed In Front Of Kangaroos.

Changes In Both Team

Sri Lanka made a change to their team for this match. In the place of Suranga Lakmal, Milinda Siriwardana is included. The Australian team also made a change.
