South Africa Beat Australia By 10 Runs And Leave The League With A Win

David Warner’s century went in vain as South Africa defeated Australia by 10 runs to end

In the ICC World Cup-2019, South Africa played their last match at the Old Trafford ground on Saturday and beat Australia by 10 runs. Australia could score 315 runs by chasing the target of 326 in 49.5 overs. David Warner scored the highest of 122 runs in Australia’s favor. He faces 117 balls and hit 15 fours and 2 sixes.

Apart from Warner, wicketkeeper Alex Carey also batted with an unbeaten 85 off 69 balls, including 11 fours and one six. Kagiso Rabada did super bowling from South Africa. He gave 56 runs in 10 overs to send three batsmen to pavilion. Along with that, Dwaine Pretorius (27 runs in 6 overs) and Andile Phehlukwayo (22 runs in 2.5 overs) also got two wickets.

Earlier, in the ICC World Cup-2019, South Africa had set a target of 326 runs against the previous winner team Australia.

Captain Faf du Plessis scored 100 runs for South Africa after winning the toss. Apart from them, Rassie van der Dussen (95) and Quinton de Kock contributed 52 runs to South Africa and team scored a strong score of 325 runs for six wickets in 50 overs.

West Indies Beat Afghanistan In World Cup-2019, Out Of The League With Victory

Former champion West Indies defeated Afghanistan by 23 runs on Thursday to finish off their campaign in World Cup-2019. West Indies scored 311runs for 6 wickets after winning the toss, after which Afghanistan was all-out for 288 runs in 50 overs. This was the last league match for both Afghanistan and West Indies teams. The World Cup campaign for Afghanistan was extremely poor and the team could not win a single match.

Both the West Indies and Afghanistan were already out of the race for the World Cup semi-final, and their eyes fixed on ending with a victory. England beat New Zealand to seal World Cup semi-final spot
