Team India Reached Semi-Finals By Defeating Bangladesh

India beat Bangladesh by 28 runs in ICC World Cup 2019 In the match played at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Ground, India batted well and then bowled superbly. India batted first and present 314 runs challenge. In reply, the Bangladesh team all out at 286 runs in 48 overs. For Bangladesh Shakib Al Hasan (66) scored most runs. He hit 6 fours in his innings of 74 balls. With this victory, India has made a place in the semi-finals.

Apart from them, Lokesh Rahul (77), Rishabh Pant (48), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (35), Virat Kohli (26), Hardik Pandya (0), Dinesh Karthik (8) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2) and Mohammad Shami Contributed one run.

From Bangladesh side, Mustafizur Rahman took 5 wickets. Shakib Al Hasan, Rubel Hossain, and Soumya Sarkar got one wicket each. A batsman from India returned to the pavilion by being run out.

Sri Lanka Win Against West Indies By 23 Runs In A Thrilling Encounter

Sri Lanka beat the West Indies by 23 runs in a World Cup League match with the bowlers’ excellent performance after the first century of young batsman Avishka Fernando’s career.

Chasing Sri Lanka’s 339 runs target, West Indies’s Nicholas Pooran made the first century (118) and despite sharing 83 runs partnership with Fabian Allen (51), for the seventh wicket, the team could have scored 315 runs for nine wickets.

This is the third win in eight matches of 1996 World Cup champion Sri Lanka in the World Cup 2019 and it now has eight points. Another side, Two-time world champion West Indies had to face the sixth defeat in eight matches. Although both teams have already gone out of the semifinals competition.

Nicholas’s Century Gone Waste

Pooran playing ninth ODI match of his career, hit 11 fours and four sixes in his 103-ball innings. In Sri Lanka team, playing the third match in the World Cup and ninth ODI of his career, Avishka Fernando scored 103 balls with nine fours and two sixes in 104 balls.

Fernando played the role of an anchor in Sri Lanka’s inning, 85 runs partnership with Kusal Mendis (39) for third, 58 runs partnership with Angelo Mathews (26) for the fourth wicket and 67 runs partnership with Lahiru Thirimane (44 not out from 33 balls), for the fifth wicket. Openers Kusal Perera(64) also hit a half-century.

Holder And Pooran Took Over

Holder and Puran took charge at critical moments. Both reached the score of 100 in the 21st over. Holder and Puran shared a 61-run partnership for the fifth wicket and when it seemed that both the West Indies would be able to recover from the difficulties, then Captain was caught out on mid-on.

Sri Lanka Completed 50 Runs In 11 Overs

In the last ten overs, India needed 107 runs to win. But the Indian batsmen could not overcome this difficult halt. Pandya and Dhoni added 41 runs for the fourth wicket. Pandya quickly became the victim of Plunkett in the 45th over. He made four fours in his innings of 33 balls.

New Zealand Is Now Hard To Enter The Playoff After Losing Against Australia

The 37th match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 was played between Australia and New Zealand on the historic Lord’s grounds in London. Australia defeated New Zealand by 86 runs in this match. After winning the toss, Australia chooses to bat and scored 243 runs by losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Wrong Decision By Afghanistan’s Captain

When Pakistan needed 46 runs in five overs, then bowling by Afghanistan’s captain Gulbadin Naib proves to be a wrong decision. He provided 18 runs in this over. Thereby, the pressure on Pakistan was reduced.
