India Lose To Australia Despite Virat Kohli’s Mighty Inning In Ranchi

Captain Virat Kohli’s brilliant century got idle due to losing to India by 32 runs in the Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium in Ranchi.Chasing the strong target of 314, India lost opener Shikhar Dhawan (1) and Rohit Sharma (14) cheaply with a score of 15/2.

Ambati Rayudu failed to make a big score once again as he was clean bowled by Pat Cummins 2 runs. India was playing on 27/3 when Kohli was joined with MS Dhoni at the crease.

They added 59 runs for the fourth wicket. Earlier, Adam Jampa dismissed Dhoni for 26 runs. Kedar Jadhav (26) shared an 88-run partnership with Kohli to keep India in the run-chase.

However, after Kohli’s 95 (16 fours, 1 six) was dismissed for 123, the Indian batsmen failed to catch-up with the required run-rate. But Kohli also struggled in the early and some boundaries helped him to maintain good scoring rates. However, once the surface was anticipated, it opened the delightful bouquet of flicks, drives and pulls. Even when the track bothered them with a low bounce, they dealt with it easily.

With his strongness, his half-century and then on the run-a-ball, India remained in Chase. He made back-to-back half-century partnership with MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav and redeemed Australia’s challenge.

At 37.3 over,  Zampa to Kohli, out Bowled!! Gone! Zampa was pumped. He’s got the big wicket of Kohli. Game was completely changed at this point.Vijay Shankar (32) and Ravindra Jadeja (24) 250 were successful in taking India to 250.

But the tailenders bowled quickly. With this victory, Australia is alive in the five-match ODI series that India is still 2-1 ahead. Earlier, Usman Khawaja scored his first century in ODIs and scored 104 in 113 balls while Aaron Finch scored 93, Australia made 313/5 in 50 overs.

Man of the Match Usman Khwaja says that there is no better feeling than winning against a particularly strong Indian side.Credits how Virat Kohli played but praises his bowlers’ efforts. They wanted to bowl first because they were not sure that overall was a good first inning but Finch and himself played really well.

Indian captain Virat Kohli says that he did well to bring things back to the end and he was quite optimistic about pursuing this goal.Felt that they expected dew to fall in the evening but that did not happen. The early wickets made their work very difficult. Adds that he has lost the opening wicket in this series, something that has not happened to him many times is expected that he can improve it.He says he is very happy with his knock. It ends by saying that there may be some changes in the next game.

It will be played on March 10 on Sunday. It will start from 13:30 local (08:00 GMT), join us for that one. Until then, Cheers!
