After a strong performance by the bowlers, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings by 9 wickets unilaterally on the basis of the batsmen’s brilliant game. With this, the Hyderabad team registered two points, registering their first win in IPL 2021. The team had a small target of 121 runs from Punjab, which the team achieved by losing one wicket. Johnny Bairstow scored the highest 63 on behalf of the team. His innings included 3 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from him, captain David Warner also played an excellent inning of 37 runs. Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad had restricted Punjab Kings to 120 runs in 19.4 overs in the IPL match on Wednesday, thanks to the superb performance of their bowlers. Punjab captain Lokesh Rahul won the toss and decided to bat first, but Rahul himself became the victim of Bhuvneshwar Kumar on the first ball of the fourth over. Deepak Hooda (11) and Moises Henriques (14) were bowled out by Abhishek Sharma. Young batsman Shah Rukh Khan hit the first six off Abhishek in the 14th over, raising the team’s run rate above six for the first time. In the same over, however, Henriques (14) came out of the crease to take a big shot and wicketkeeper Johnny Bairstow left no stone unturned to scatter the gills.
