Shahbaz Ahmed changed the scene of the match with three wickets in an over and Royal Challengers Bangalore thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by six runs in another exciting IPL match on Wednesday. RCB scored 149 runs for eight wickets on the basis of Glenn Maxwell’s 41-ball 59. In response, the Sunrisers, who had scored 96 runs for one wicket in the 14th over at one time, could only manage 143 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. At one time, they needed 35 off 24 balls and dangerous batsman Jonny Bairstow was at the crease.

After that, spinner Ahmed returned RCB strongly in the 17th over with three wickets, including Bairstow. Bairstow (12) on the first ball, Manish Pandey (38 off 39 balls) on the second, and Abdul Samad (0) were dismissed on the last ball. After this, the way of the Sunrisers’ return to the match was also closed. For Sunrisers, skipper David Warner and Pandey added 83 runs for the second wicket. Warner scored 54 runs in 37 balls with the help of seven fours and a six. This was Sunrisers second defeat and RCB’s second win.

Earlier, the Sunrisers bowlers led by West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder put in a great performance. Holder took three wickets for 30 runs, while star spinner Rashid Khan took two wickets for 18 runs. For RCB, Maxwell scored the most runs and hit five fours and three sixes in his innings. Captain Virat Kohli contributed 33, Shahbaz Nadeem 14, and Kyle Jamieson contributed 12 runs. Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal (11) got a good start to RCB but the Sunrisers did not have to wait long for the first success.

In the third over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Padikkal who was playing his first match after recovering from a Corona infection. The next wicket fell as Shahbaz Ahmed when RCB scored 47 runs. Maxwell then changed the game and hit two sixes and a four off the first three balls of the 11th over of Shahbaz Nadeem. Kohli also hit a four in this over. Both shared a 44-run partnership, but the holder broke the partnership with Kohli’s valuable wicket.

After the arrival of AB de Villiers, Sunrisers captain David Warner again handed the ball to the spinners. Leg-spinner Rashid sent him to the pavilion, caught by Warner in the covers. Rashid took the second wicket in the form of Washington Sundar (eight). Maxwell hit three fours and a six in the last three overs.
