South Africa Put Major Dent in Sri Lanka Semifinal Hopes with Easy Win

South Africa defeated Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the ICC World Cup 2019. In this match played at the Riverside Stadium of Chester-le-Street, South Africa first impressive bowling and then the best batting. With this defeat, the route to the semi-finals of the Sri Lankan team has become difficult. His only seven matches have two wins, three losses, and two Canceled matches, six points.

South Africa has already been out of the race for the last four. South Africa all-out Sri Lanka at 203 runs in 49.3 overs. After that, he achieved this easy goal by losing just one wicket in 37.2 overs. In South Africa’s eight matches, there are five points after two wins and five defeats. South Africa loses one wicket as the only Quinton de Kock (15). He played 16 balls and hit 3 fours. Quinton de Kock was sent to the pavilion by Lasith Malinga in the fifth over.

FIRST INNING

Earlier, Sri Lanka lost the toss and batted first gave disappointing beginning. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne, who came to start the innings, returned to the pavilion without opening the account. India Won Match By Shami’s Hat-Trick In An Exciting Match

Mohammed Shami hat-trick gave India a winning edge over Afghanistan

The Indian team defeated Afghanistan by 11 runs in an exciting World Cup 2019 match. In the match played at The Rose Bowl ground in Southampton, Afghanistan had been impressed with the ball and prevented India at 224 runs. After this, the Indian bowlers bowled superbly and all-out the Afghan team for 213 runs in 49.5 overs.

This is India’s 50th win in the World Cup. Mohammad Nabi (52) scored the highest run for Afghanistan. He hit 4 fours and a six in his innings of 55 balls.

Mohammad Shami’s Hat-Trick in wORLD cUP 2019

Mohammad Shami’s Hat-Trick played a key role in the last over of India’s victory. Afghanistan needed 16 runs to win in the last over and three wickets remaining. Nabi on the crease boosted the thrill by scoring a boundary on Shami’s first ball.

Then, there was no run to the next ball. After this Shami trapped the Nabi on the third ball in the hands of the Hardik Pandya. On the fourth ball, he bowled Aftab Alam (0) and then bowled Mujibur Rahman (0) on the fifth ball to end Afghanistan’s inning.

Shami is become the first bowler to take a hat-trick in this World Cup, while he is the second Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in World Cup history. Before that, Chetan Sharma took a hat-trick against New Zealand in the 1987 World Cup. This is the first hat trick of Shami’s international career.

Afghanistan started well and their first wicket fell as Hazratullah Zazai (10). However, captain Gulbadin Naib (27) and Rahmat Shah (36) added 44 runs for the second wicket to help their team.

After dismissing Naib in the 17th over, Rahmat shared a 42-run partnership with Hashmatullah Shahidi (21) for the third wicket. The team was faltering after Rahmat was dismissed in the 29th over. From here on, Mohammed Nabi just kept up to the last over and the other batsmen returned to the pavilion from the other end.

Mohammed Shami four, Jaspreet Bumrah, Yuswendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya took two wickets each for India.

India, batting first, lost 8 wickets in the 50 overs in which they scored 224 runs. Virat Kohli (67) scored the highest run-scorer for India. He scored 5 boundaries in his 63-ball innings. On behalf of Afghanistan, Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib got two wickets each while Mujibur Rahman, Rahmat Shah, Aftab Alam, and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.

Bad Start Of India

Starting on the first after winning the toss, the Indian team started very poorly. India lost their first wicket in the form of Rohit Sharma only for a total of 7 runs in 4.2 overs. Rohit, who started the innings with Lokesh Rahul, returned to the pavilion by scoring just 1 in 10 balls.

The 26th match of ICC World Cup 2019 was played between Australia and Bangladesh yesterday. In this match, Australia scored 381 runs after winning the toss. Chasing the target of 382 runs, Bangladesh could score only 333 runs in the allotted 50 overs.
In this way, Australia registered their fifth victory in this World Cup. With this win, the Kangaroo team reached first place in the points table.
For Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah showed the passion of batting, but Bangladesh’s hopes were over as Mahmudullah was dismissed. Mushfiqur Rahim scored an unbeaten century for Bangladesh, but he could not win his team. Apart from them Shakib Al Hasan (41), Tamim Iqbal (62), Mahmudullah (69). After this, Warner got together with Usman Khawaja (89) and both shared a 192-run partnership for the second wicket to give Australia a huge score.

Warner made his second century in the World Cup. The Soumya Sarkar ended the marathon innings of warner, he hit 166 runs with 14 fours and five sixes in 147 balls. His 5 matches have 8 points. The match played at Manchester’s Old Trafford Stadium, England won the toss and scored 397 runs. In reply, the Afghans could only manage 247 runs for 8 wickets overs in 50 overs.

Hashmatullah Shahidi (76) scored the highest runs from Afghanistan side. He hit 5 fours and two sixes in his 100-ball inning. Afghanistan started very bad and it’s opening batsman Noor Ali Zadran returned without opening the pavilion. Captain Gulbadin Naib (37) and Rahmat Shah (46) shared the 48-run partnership for the second wicket and handled the team for a while.

After Gulbadin Naib was dismissed in the 12th over, Rahmat Shah shared 52 runs for the third wicket with Hashmatullah Shahidi. He hit 4 fours and 17 sixes in his blistering inning of 71 balls. Apart from them, Jonny Bairstow (90), Joe Root (88), James Vince (26), Jos Buttler (2) and Ben Stokes contributed 2 runs. Moeen Ali 31 and Chris Woakes were unbeaten on 1 run.

Dawlat Zadran and Gulbadin Naib took three or three wickets for Afghanistan. Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan proved to be very expensive. He threw nine overs and gave 110 runs without taking any wicket. He has become the most expensive spinner in the World Cup.

‘Virat’s sepoys’ defeated Pakistan for the seventh time

India beat Pakistan by 89 runs in the ICC World Cup 2019. The decision was made on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule. This is also the biggest victory of India over Pakistan in the World Cup. This is the seventh consecutive victory against Pakistan in India’s World Cup.  It is India’s Record win over Pakistan, seventh times victory since 1992.

In 1992, the two teams met each other for the first time battle and since then the Pakistani team has not won any match against India. India scored a mammoth 336 runs in the first innings at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester.

Pakistan’s Answer Against India’s Bowlers

In reply, the Pakistani team could have scored 212 runs in 6 overs in 40 overs between the rain disruption. After the third rain, Pakistan had the goal of making 302 runs in 40 overs.

Rain disrupted the match three times. First-time rain came in the 47th over during the Indian inning, followed by a brief hurdle just before the second Pakistani inning began. Pakistan got a revised target after the third rain.

Until the game was stopped for the third time, Pakistan scored 166 runs for six wickets in 35 overs. This win has brought the Indian team to third place in the final table. India has been seven points from four matches, while Pakistan has only three points from five matches and it has slipped to ninth place.

Fakhar Zaman scored the highest scorer (62) for Pakistan. He hit 7 fours and 1 sixes in his 75-ball inning. Pakistan’s start was poor and their first wicket fell quickly as Imam-ul-Haq (7). After that, Fakhar Zaman teamed up with Babar Azam (48) for 104 runs for the second wicket.

After the break in the 24th over of this partnership, the Pakistani team faltered and could not recover. Sarfaraz Ahmed (12), Shoaib Malik (0) and Mohammad Hafeez scored only nine runs. Apart from Rohit, Virat Kohli (77), Lokesh Rahul (57), Hardik Pandya (26) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni contributed 1 run. Vijay Shankar 15 and Kedar Jadhav remained unbeaten on 9 runs. Mohammad Amir from Pakistan side got three wickets while Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz picked up one wicket each. Overall It is India’s Record win over Pakistan, seventh times victory since 1992.

India’s Strong Debut

After losing the toss, batting first, the Indian team made a strong start. Lokesh Rahul and Rohit Sharma, who started the innings, started the partnership with 136 runs for the first wicket. Both batsmen left no shortage to beat Pakistani bowlers.
