Thanks to the fantastic innings of Shakib Al Hasan (124 not out) and Liton Das (94 not out), Bangladesh defeated the West Indies by 7 wickets in the ICC World Cup 2019. Bangladesh has won against the West Indies for the first time in the World Cup. With this victory, Bangladesh’s team has reached the fifth spot in the points table. They got 5 points of five matches. In the tough competition, therefore, Bangladesh Beat West Indies By Shakib’s Blast.

In Tottenham, West Indies played the first inning and scored 321 runs after losing the toss. In reply, Bangladesh easily achieved this goal at the loss of three wickets in 41 overs.

Bangladesh made a strong start. Tamim Iqbal (48) and Soumya Sarkar (29), who came in to start the second inning, shared a 52-run partnership for the first wicket. This partnership was broken by Andre Russell in the ninth over. Tamim then led the inning with Shakib. Both were playing with care but in the 18th over, Tamim returned to the pavilion after being run out. Both added 69 runs for the second wicket.

After Tamim’s dismissal, veteran batsman Mushfiqur Rahim (1) did not bat well and became the victim of Thomas in the 19th over. From here Shakib and Liton took the front and returned after winning the match. Both of them made an unbroken partnership of 189 for the fourth wicket. Shakib played 99 balls in his innings and hit 16 boundaries while Liton Das hit eight boundaries and four sixes in his 69-ball knock.

Prior to this, the West Indies, losing 8 wickets in the 50 overs in the set, scored 321 runs. Most runs for the West Indies were scored by Shai Hope (96). He hit 4 fours and a six in his 121-ball innings.

Apart from them, Evin Lewis (70), Shimron Hetmyer (50), Jason Holder (33), Chris Gayle (0), Andre Russell (0), Nicolas Puran (25) and Darren Bravo contributed 19 runs. Oshane Thomas scored 6 runs and returned unbeaten pavilion. Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin took three wickets each while Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets.

IPL 2019, MI vs CSK: Mumbai Indians register historic first after a comprehensive win against CSK

Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by 37 runs in the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. It was Hardik Pandya’s day against Chennai Super Kings as he first gave Mumbai Indians the much-needed impetus with the bat, in which hit 25 runs in 8 balls. Before he returned from the match, he also completed his job with the ball to win a crucial 37-run victory over the Wankhede stadium.

Chasing a score of 171, the CSK began went worse and the winning doors closed because he had lost both of his openers in the first two overs of the inning. Ambati Rayudu (0) was dismissed by Jason Behrendorff and Shane Watson (5) was dismissed by Lasith Malinga for the pavilion.

Suresh Raina and Kedar Jadhav added quick-fire 27 runs before Raina (16) was sent by Behrndorf to the pavilion, Kieron Pollard lofted a catch to dismiss the batsmen.

MS Dhoni came to bat at number five and he worked with Jadhav to calm down the proceedings. Jadhav had started putting up big but as soon as Dhoni tried to play a big hit, he gave a catch to Suryakumar Yadav on the ball of the Hardik Pandya.

The duo of CSK put up a 54-run partnership before Hardik Pandya provided a big wicket of Dhoni (12) to Mumbai. To look for major attacks against Mumbai, CSK captain did not perform well. Ravindra Jadeja (1) also failed to make an impression of best performance and he was sent back into the dugout in the over of Hardik.

Jadhav brought his own half-century while fighting a lone fight at the crease in the 16th over of the innings. While fighting a tough fight, Jadhav (58) was also dismissed on Malinga’s delivery.

Malinga and Hardik Pandya delivered their trademark yorkers by throwing the lower order batsmen, making sure that Mumbai’s win by 37 runs.

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav and Kuralal Pandya scored a scintillating 59 and 42, respectively, to enable Mumbai Indians to score 170 runs at a loss of five wickets.

Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) played an excellent inning of 75 not out in 46 balls against Rajasthan Royals bowling at the difficult pitch of Chepauk.
