As the biggest game of cricket, the World Cup is approaching…the eyes of the whole world will be on Virat Kohli. He is the most demanding and emerging player of world cricket. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, has the power to lead India in World Cup 2019.

Most of the people would like to see the runs from bats of Virat Kohli while others would love how he leads team India in the biggest competition. A lot of questions are there regarding his batting position also. Currently, he bats at No 3 and makes a lot of runs but Indian coach Ravi Shastri wants him to play at No 4.

Virat Kohli has been excellent at No 3 as gets a lot of time to play with openers Rohit Sharma or Shikhar Dhawan. He settles himself for the long run and plays amazing cricket. He is the leading run scorer at present and has stunned the world with his beautiful and classy shots. His dedication and efforts towards batting are increasing towards infinity. A lot of people compares him with Sachin Tendulkar also. Sachin Tendulkar used to bat at No 3. The same position is being held by Virat Kohli also.

Virat Kohli had played at No 4 in World Cup 2019 and India won the World Cup also. As per Ravi Shastri, No 3 position should be taken by Ambati Rayadu. The loss of Virat Kohli’s wicket may lead to a big loss for India. He is the best asset of the Indian team. His dismissal in the early stage may bring difficulty for middle orders like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rishabh Pant etc. Virat Kohli can bat both at No 3 and 4 depending on the situation.

We have seen that the best players usually play at No 3. It would be now delightful to see which position Virat Kohli holds in World Cup 2019. As per the raw facts and figures, Virat Kohli should bat at No 3. But if we think a bit about Ravi Shastri’s comments…then No 4 position should be held by Kedar Yadav or Ambati Raidu. They can fit best in the middle orders sandwiched with Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
